  • Establishment of a virtual 3D HM Entrepreneurship platform with various event and teaching rooms
  • Conception and implementation of the topic-related online teaching modules in the context of entrepreneurship
  • Incoming mobilities to expand cooperation and networking in the start-up ecosystem of HM and the Munich metropolitan region

• DAAD funding line HAW.International

  The DAAD program "HAW.International" promotes the development of efficient and cosmopolitan HAW / FH and the strengthening of their international competitiveness. It also helps to make the students fit for their potential international job market. Another long-term goal of the program is, in close cooperation with business and industry, to increase the educational, research and innovative strength of the UAS. It also helps to ensure that the universities are strategically positioned and to be internationally more demanded as potential partners.

  
  

  The AGORA project is a DAAD-funded project (Module B) and has a funding period from January 2021 to December 2024.

  
  

• 3D - Agora meeting and learning platform

  The establishment of the 3D HM-Entrepreneurship Agora offers teachers and students a new form of interaction and learning experience. A digital meeting place will be created that will help to further expand the networking with partners from the field of science and business. The entrepreneurship course content can be integrated into their learning paths in a personalized way by students in differently designed virtual rooms. At the same time, the virtual 3D environment enables live events to be implemented and creates an innovative meeting place for students, partners and the interested public through the use of avatars. AGORA is a virtual marketplace for ideas, exchange and collaboration between project partners, but is also used for interaction with other research and industry partners. With the visualization in 3D, via a software application and without the need for VR glasses, the visibility of the HM is increased and made tangible for an international audience with just a few clicks. Teachers and students are given a new curricular teaching and learning experience in the digital space. Students are prepared for the (work) world shaped by digitalization and become more attractive for potential employers.

• Information for students

  Information about the DAAD talent scholarships

  What are the secrets of successful startups abroad? How do the entrepreneurship ecosystems work in different countries? As part of the DAAD-funded AGORA project, we offer an Entrepreneurship Talent Program in which 15 entrepreneurial Bachelor and Master students from the HM can qualify from August 25th. Part of the program is a financially supported internship - virtual or on-site - at an international start-up or incubator from the international AGORA partner network. Funding is provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In the winter semester 2021/22, the 15 cross-faculty HM talents will also have the opportunity to take part in entrepreneurship talent workshops (virtual or face-to-face). In the workshops, the talents receive information and inspiration for developing start-up ideas.   Benefits

  Scholarship in the amount of 752 EUR for an unpaid internship (150 hours) at an international startup or incubator from the international AGORA network. Due to COVID-19, this internship can also be carried out virtually in selected countries.We support you in your search or you have contacts yourself and can apply for a 150 hour internship. You will receive a DAAD participation certificate for the successfully completed internship.

  Grant requirements:
  

  • International start-up or incubator
  • Internship period 4 weeks full-time or 150 hours
  • Start of the (virtual) internship by February 2022 at the latest

  Internship can be used as a module for the certificate "Entrepreneurial thinking and acting" (detailed information here)
  

  Talent workshops with a focus on the following areas:

  • Intercultural management
  • International and regional entrepreneurship
  • Innovation & digital technologies in the field of health, smart cities and digitialization

  Scholarship holders will network and receive targeted support in the relevant subject areas: international entrepreneurship soft and hard skills, their digitalization skills and start-up skills

  Access to modern hardware and software to advance the entrepreneurial mindset and skills (collaborative work, creative thinking, pitching, etc.)

  • Registered HM bachelor or master students
  • Very good knowledge of English (B2 level)
  • You are motivated and want to explore the secrets of other startup ecosystems and want to network, learn and develop internationally

  Deliverables

  • Internship contract
  • Internship confirmation for a period of at least 150 hours
  • Reflection report on the internship
  • Participation in the AGORA talent workshops

  
  

  Program outline

  The AGORA talent program takes place in winter semester 2021/22. The talent workshops will be held between October and December and will be integrated into the course of the semester.
  

  The 150-h internship in an international start-up or incubator needs to start no later than beginning of February 2022. Due to COVID-19, the internship can also be carried out virtually in selected countries.
